Greg Kostal is an independent analyst and consultant based in Winnipeg. He provides fundamental guidance on agriculture trends, conducts market analysis and supplies consulting and advisory services to commercial and farm operations. Prior to starting his own company twenty years ago, Greg worked for Sparks Companies, Continental Grain, ProFarmer and UGG. He also grew up on a family farm south of Winnipeg.

After growing up on his family grain and oilseed farm in southern Manitoba, it was only natural that Greg’s career path would focus on helping other grain and oilseed producers succeed. Through his business, Kostal Ag Consulting Ltd., Greg conducts market analysis and personalizes that with a consulting and advisory service for commercial and farm business operations.
In 1986, Greg obtained a B. Sc. in Agriculture at the University of Manitoba. Prior to starting his own company in April-04, Greg’s analytical work experience started in 1988 and included employment with Ag Canada, United Grain Growers, Continental Grain, ProFarmer and Sparks.
The mix of hands-on experience at the farm and commercial level has enhanced Greg’s ability to sort out what is important and how to interpret such information into research that has immediate relevance to you.
